Operating exclusively within the town of Tusayan, our comfortable, horse-drawn wagon provides convenient and memorable transportation between hotels, restaurants, and local attractions. Whether you’re heading to dinner, catching a show, or simply exploring the town, our Two Ton Taxi offers a fun, relaxed, and truly distinctive way to navigate Tusayan. It’s the perfect blend of practical convenience and Grand Canyon-area charm!
We offer tickets for rides from your hotel to anywhere on the Tusayan town strip. Two Ton “Taxi” will operate from 4:30pm until sunset each evening. Don’t have a ticket? Just flag us down!

My adult son and I did a one hour ride today. Everything was perfect from the time I booked it in the morning until we completed our ride. Their whole team was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The horses were exceptional, well taken care of and very well behaved. The ride through the forest was beautiful, the weather was perfect and my son and I made some great memories along the way. I highly recommend this company. They are professionals in every sense of the way!

Grand Canyon trail rides was so much fun! We went for an early morning two hour trail ride. We had a group of 8. 4 adults and 4 children ages 10-14. The cowboys that lead us on our ride were very helpful and fun to ride with and the horses were very beautiful and friendly. Shout out to are trail leader Steve for making the trip an awesome adventure.

I brought my grandchildren there for the 2 hour ride and what a great time! Our guide was friendly and told us stories of the woods, being a cowboy and the wildlife. He made sure the kids were OK, stopping to check cinches, stirrups and the like. I would definitely recommend using these folks. We felt completely comfortable and safe the entire time. ❤️😊 now come set up in the Adirondacks! Lol

We had such a great experience at Grand Canyon Trail Rides. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived. Our guide Conner was awesome. The horses were the best. I got to ride RayBan and my wife rode Whimpy. We did the 2 hour ride, and if we could, we would have gone longer! We will definitely do this again on our next visit to the Grand Canyon!

These are the nicest people with the best horses and dogs. Highly recommend booking with them. Our group had 3. Two of us have little experience but were very comfortable on this ride. We took the 1 hr trip because we were short on time. Next time we hope to do a longer one. 10 out of 10!

What an amazing experience! The horses were lovely and very well taken care of! We did the two hour ride and the scenery was beautiful 🥰 Our guide Kody was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable! As someone who owns their own horse this ride was still extremely fun even at the walk gait and it was also fun for my boyfriend who is a total beginner! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to explore the wilderness around the canyon! Experienced or beginner riders!

My experience was amazing! My guide Connor was so knowledgeable, kind and fun! He took pictures and videos of us on the trail which made for great memories! We were greeted by very sweet puppies and check-in by this amazing family and got to ride super sweet horses! I would highly recommend making this stop on your way up to the Grand Canyon, they are located right by the South Entrance which is perfect!

Grand Canyon Trail Rides was an amazing experience! The horses were well-trained and gentle, making the ride really enjoyable. Our trail guide, Star, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole trip even better. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon!

We had a wonderful experience. We were looking at what to do on our last day at the park and we googled and found this trail ride. My kids, aged 10 and 14, were thrilled with the whole experience. My only regret is not booking a two hour ride but an hour ride. The next time we are there, we are definitely doing it again. Star was fabulous and she kept on talking about the place and gave us information on how to handle the horses. Her daughter Jody also joined us and she was awesome as well. Once we reached the mid point, Jody took our phones and took photos for all of us. Both of them made the trip even more enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Star and Jody for the fabulous time

Haven’t been on a horse in over 30 years! It was great getting back in the saddle. Conner the wrangler was great, a good refresher course and we were on our way thru the woods. Domino was a beautiful horse and well trained Thanks

My husband and I did it and both had a good time. He is 37, and a first time rider. He loved the ride and wish he could keep going. The staff is great, Connor was our guide. The horses are very well behaved and love scratches on the neck. Whether you’re a pro or a first timer, a trail ride on these beautiful horses is a must-do while visiting the Canyon.

Great ride in a very beautiful portion of the forest. Wranglers were very knowledgeable and experienced. I would recommend this ride to anyone on the south rim. Domino the horse I rode loved the oak bushes and snacked his way through the forest. Great time!

Fantastic trail ride! We took a ride with our group of 4, another group of 4 and 3 guides. It was calm and beautiful and saw Elk on the trail. Highly recommended!!
